Modestone is made of rock paper that does not absorb water or dirt at all: you can flood Modestone under water for up to two weeks and when dry it is like new - the pages do not tear or stick together and your notes are safe. Modestone paper also does not cause paper wounds and it's not easily ignited. The writing feel is also silky soft.

Modestone really has no competitors at all: other products for a similar purpose are either coated paper, which absorbs water if the exposure to water lasts a little longer, or plastic, which in practice requires special pens to work. If necessary, you can even write on Modestone paper with a key or a bullet tip if a pen is not available.

Modestone is made in Finland and is a certified key flag product. The main raw material of the product is lime powder generated as a by-product of lime mines: 80% of Modestone paper is lime and 20% is combustible recycled PE plastic. Modestone misleadingly looks like regular paper, but it really isn’t - you have to experience this product yourself!
