Guksi is ecological and easy to use. However, it should be treated with coffee grease to improve both taste and durability.
Put the coffee in the cup for two minutes, pour it off and let it dry for a couple of hours to allow the wood pores to open. After drying, the actual coffee grease treatment is performed.
From the bottom of the coffee filter, take a tablespoon of wet, warm coffee grounds. Rub the coffee grounds firmly with your thumb against the walls of the guksi until the coffee grounds are dry. Coffee fat absorbs into the open pores of the wood and forms a water-repellent fat membrane. guksi does not get wet, dry and cracked, and all the extra flavors remains under the membrane. Wood is such a hygienic material that in normal use guksi remains clean with a simple rinse, no detergents needed.
